- Origin of the Preganglionic
nerve
- from cranial nerves III, VII, IX and X and S2-S4 in spinal cord (i.e. craniosacral outflow)
- Preganglionic nerve axon is long
- Postganglionic nerve axon is short
- Ganglion has nicotinic receptor
- Neurotransmitter is Acetylcholine in ganglion and effector organ
- In effector organ there are muscarinic receptors
